    Hi Berend,

Thank you for your question. There are commands for refreshing the app, returning to the app selector screen (for Go, not custom), as well as for navigating to other apps or websites, but there is no command to straight out close the app. The end user can simply use the close mechanism on their OS of choice if they want to fully shut the app down.

Is there a specific use case that you're attempting to accomplish that requires actually closing the app down?

    Cheers,

    Phil MacIntyre

    Hi Phil,

No particular use case, other than giving users an extra option to close the app. The close button on Windows can be a surprisingly small target on touch devices ;-)

I admit that it's unusual on Android and iPhone, but on Windows many application have such an option (e.g. File > Exit). Our app targets Windows only.

    Hi Berend,

Certainly agreed on that front. Especially on some of the smaller screened Windows devices even with a stylus it's not as easy as one might think!

I chatted with a couple of our developers and they've indicated that including such a command can be considered bad practice with mobile apps. Some earlier Apple submission guidelines even indicated that including such a thing could cause your app to be rejected, as the experience can be "too like a crash". So it's not something that we'll be looking to add in as we produce a tri-platform app.

Please let us know if you have any other questions,

    Phil
