    Dan, did you ever hear anything about this? I agree that it seems odd that it would not be included. I suppose we could hack together a custom workflow to run on map click and then run an identify manually and add to results, but seems odd that VertiGIS wouldn't just bake that in.

    Hey Marc Rempel & Dan Griffin - I can confirm that VSW supports identifying on raster image layers. My guess that this previous document you're referring to was written when the Esri JS API didn't support raster identifies. According to our internal notes it wasn't present in the 4.8 version of their API so we couldn't support it.

    I am not seeing support for raster layer identify in map services in the SaaS web viewer anymore. I feel like this was maybe working at one point since I moved on from this thread at the time. 

    I see from the supported map services link you provided above that search is not supported for rasters, but it doesn't say anything about identify. In studio designer the raster layer doesn't have the search, identify, or query icons to toggle. I would assume it should have an identify icon to toggle if supported? Is there any more documentation on it?

    Hey Marc Rempel that is unexpected behaviour! I discussed briefly with our QA team and confirmed we do have support for identify operations on imagery layers and specifically raster, so I think what you have here is either a configuration issue or product bug. I do not believe there is further documentation in addition to what I had shared (beyond the basic Map config, which does not add any pertinent detail here)

    I would suggest submitting a ticket to our VertiGIS Studio Support team so that we can help troubleshoot. To expedite, I would suggest sharing ideally your configured Studio Web application and your imagery layer if possible.

    Okay, I can open a ticket. I have tried a couple different map services with raster layers and have not seen results for identify on any of them. 

    FWIW, here is a sample viewer with that has climate data as an example.

    Any update about this issue? Is it really a bug and if yes, is registrated under this number:  

    #91018 [DEV 299193] Identify image layer - Rendering Rule(s) ???

    And when will it be (expted to be) fixed?
