How to setting the extent of a time slider in Geocortex based on querying a time aware layer?

Right now I have a site made that has a time aware layer with a start and end date. I also have a workflow designed that allows me to filter out those features using the "Set layer definition" activity. I need the time slider's extent to change so that the min value and max values match the earliest start and latest end date respectively of the filtered features. Looking for some guidance on how to solve this issue.
