Show/Hide Layers in Legend

Is there a way to customize the Print Template (or in Studio Web) to hide specific layers in the Print?

I know there's a Smart Filter option in the Legend Properties. However I have specific layers I want to hide in the Legend even if they're present on the map. (Certain features like lakes and streams are clear with context and don't need a Legend item).
