Now Available: VertiGIS Studio Mobile 5.41
Now Available: VertiGIS Studio Mobile 5.41
This release of VertiGIS Studio Mobile focuses on refining the offline user experience and modernizing our core infrastructure. 5.41 introduces enhanced autonomy for field users within the Local Data Manager, upgrades our mapping engine for better memory efficiency, and ensures full compliance with the latest mobile platform requirements.
✨ New Features
Advanced Local Data Autonomy: We have expanded the capabilities of the Local Data Manager to give users more granular control over their offline environment.
- Manage Offline Basemaps: Users can now list and delete downloaded offline basemaps directly within VertiGIS Studio Go. This makes it easier to manage limited device storage and remove outdated data without clearing the entire app cache. [338917]
- Search & Organize: New sorting and filtering capabilities allow field workers to quickly locate specific offline areas or packages in long lists, reducing the time spent searching for downloaded data. [347181]
- Improved Transparency: The Local Data Manager now provides clear feedback when no offline data is available. [360909]
- Dynamic Basemap Workflows: Added support for the basemap.get-all operation, enabling app builders to create workflows that can programmatically interact with all available basemaps. [364292]
🚀 Technology & Performance Upgrades
This release continues our commitment to a modern, secure, and performant technology stack:
- ArcGIS SDK Modernization: We have updated to version 200.8.1 of the ArcGIS Maps SDK, providing a more stable foundation and specifically improving memory usage and loading performance for offline map areas. [367905]
- iOS 26 Readiness: The build pipeline has been upgraded to Xcode 26 and the iOS 26 SDK, ensuring full compatibility with the latest Apple hardware and App Store requirements. [365114]
- Secure Authentication: The Local Data Manager now explicitly clears the portal authentication context upon sign-out, ensuring sensitive permissions do not persist between different user sessions on the same device. [369193]
- Modernized Network Protocols: We resolved ArcGIS Runtime 200.5 deprecations for HttpRequestBegin and OAuth, aligning the application with the latest secure communication standards. [300479]
🛠️ Bug Fixes
This release includes dozens of stability improvements, specifically targeting cross-platform UI consistency and Workflow reliability.
- Offline & Maps: Fixed a critical bug where Map Areas failed to load on iOS due to coordinate system mismatches [369189]. We also resolved an issue where results lists incorrectly displayed raw HTML instead of formatted content [366751] and fixed map zoom gesture issues on Windows devices [365695].
- Workflow & Forms: We addressed several form interaction issues, including fixing the display of mandatory asterisks for required fields [139641] and resolving an error when processing features returned from subworkflows [244733]. Scrolling is now functional for Autocomplete suggestions [324915], and we fixed a bug where checkboxes would incorrectly trigger change events upon the initial form load [364929].
- UI & Stability: The Windows taskbar now correctly displays custom app titles [297403], and we resolved a rendering issue on iOS where the "Cancel" button was hidden during authentication [338727]. We also improved the display of long layer names to prevent text cut-offs on mobile devices [333886].
