Add a true toggle button
This idea about accessing the state of a toolbar button from a workflow was posted in the Workflow Ideas section, but marked as not planned. I think that it should be reconsidered.
Many of our users get confused about the check mark that appears when a toggle button starts a workflow, and that workflow is still active. Or disappears when the workflow finishes.
It depends on the nature of the workflow, but for example, if a workflow sets a filter on a layer (i.e. Set Layer Definition), and that filter remains active after the workflow finishes, users expect a check mark as an indication that the state of the map is altered. They don't see the connection between the check mark and the state of the workflow.
I tried to use the current toggle functionality, and change the button text from Toggle to ✓ Toggle, but that doesn't seem to work if the workflow contains a display form. Plus, there's still the standard check mark as well.
Please add the option for a true toggle button on the toolbar, where the state can be controlled through a command.
