RECENT RELEASE HIGHLIGHTS
Mobile 5.39 introduced asynchronous workflow execution, multi-feature pan/zoom, and offline data management fixes.
Web 5.39 added unique value symbology changes and a new nearby search tool.
Analytics 1.7 delivered custom monitors.
Printing 5.29 released the Gen2 printing engine to SaaS.
Search 1.15 improved indexing for large datasets.
Workflow 5.49 added cascading selection retention.
ANALYTICS DEMO
A demonstration showed how to create custom monitors within Analytics, including tracking map server export processing times, applying filters, previewing collected metrics, and configuring alarms or scripted actions.
GEN2 PRINTING DEMO
The printing demo illustrated converting legacy templates into gen2 layouts. Conversion is non-destructive, creating new ArcGIS Pro layout items. The updated designer supports layout editing. gen2 Printing within Studio Web supports grid and line printing, and has a print history tab for retrieving previous outputs.
WORKFLOW UPDATES
An upcoming enhancement will allow import/export of language strings, supporting multilingual workflow development and reducing manual configuration.
MOBILE PRODUCT UPDATES
Enhancements include expanded local data management which now supports map areas, (custom and preplanned), and various tile package formats. Performance improvements came from migrating Newtonsoft.Json to System.Text.Json and introducing lazy loading for layer lists, improving speed and memory usage.
WEB PRODUCT UPDATES
Web received over 30 bug fixes plus new functionality including advanced end-user re-symbolization options (graduated colors and sizes), DXF import, and adding layers via public service URLs. Resetting symbology to defaults is already supported since few releases ago.
FUTURE ROADMAP – WEB
Completed the attribute-based symbology changes on runtime work for now. AI assistant capabilities are targeted around late Q2 or early Q3. Next-generation editing tools are in development, along with 3D basemap support.
FUTURE ROADMAP – MOBILE
Planned updates include map area updating and filtering/sorting in the Local Data Manager, query definitions in layer presets, and expanded field capture workflows. Customer feedback is actively shaping these designs.
FUTURE ROADMAP - DESKTOP
A bug fix release is planned, along with debugger mode for Studio Workflows in ArcGIS Pro, improving troubleshooting and workflow design efficiency.
FUTURE ROADMAP - ACCESS CONTROL
Work is underway to improve Dev and QA tooling, subtype group layer support, and proxy handling patterns to ensure compatibility with evolving Esri technologies.
FUTURE ROADMAP - ANALYTICS
Upcoming features include data retention controls (e.g., removing older data) and a UI for deleting user-specific analytics data to support privacy compliance.
FUTURE ROADMAP - REPORTING
Working toward a gen2 Reporting in SaaS. In particular this will result in faster map image generation which will make reporting much faster overall.
