Great news! The Release Candidate for VertiGIS Studio Mobile 5.40 is now ready, and our team has officially started the final regression testing phase.

We are targeting Wednesday, February 18th, 2026, for the General Availability (GA) release.

This release represents a significant architectural leap forward, with a major focus on performance, memory usage and enhanced control over offline data management.

🚀 Performance Improvements

We have modernized the core data handling of the application by migrating from Newtonsoft.Json to System.Text.Json.

• What this means for you: You will notice faster load times, optimized execution of Workflow Form Elements, and improved memory efficiency across the board.
• Layer List Optimization: We’ve implemented "lazy loading" for the Layer List, significantly reducing memory usage when opening apps with complex layer structures.

📂 Enhanced Local Data Management

We have expanded the capabilities of the Local Data Manager to give field workers more control over their downloaded content.

• Map Areas: You can now list and delete Map Areas directly within Studio Go.
• File Updates: Added support for updating Mobile Map Packages (MMPKs) and Tile Packages (TPKs) directly via the Local Data Manager.
