Add Layer from an Esri Portal + Thumnail

If you add an layer from the Esri portal. 
The thumnail appears by default.

Is it possbile for not showing the thumnail. Because it takes ‘ a lot of space in the layer list

  I'm curious how the Layer List component retrieves this thumbnail and how it can be avoided to display it. I imagine it would be an interesting setting for the Layer List component to have the toggle option “show layer thumbnail”.
