Now Available: VertiGIS Studio Web 5.37
This release of VertiGIS Studio Web delivers a wide range of powerful new capabilities, with major enhancements to data editing and import, printing and the App Designer experience. Version 5.37 introduces a history for print jobs, support for CIM symbols, cross-layer bulk attribute editing, and an enhanced drag-and-drop experience for components in the App Designer.
New Features
- The new Bulk Attribute Update capability allows you to select multiple features—even across different layers—and edit their common attributes all at once, significantly boosting productivity for data editing workflows.
- Users can now import KML files directly into an active app session.
- A new Cascading Search workflow template has been added, making it easier to configure dependent, multi-level search experiences.
- Layer Presets have been improved to now support ignoring visibility changes on a layer and to correctly handle renamed layers in the web map.
- CIM Symbol Support is now available, allowing users to view features styled with CIM (Cartographic Information Model) symbols. The drawing.set-default-symbol command also now supports CIM symbols.
-
Studio Printing has been significantly enhanced with several new features:
- Users can now view a history of previously submitted print jobs, enabling better traceability and troubleshooting.
- Map Only prints are now supported, giving users the option to generate prints without requiring a layout template.
- A web map can now be chosen for well-known map frames (such as OVERVIEW MAP) in print layouts.
- Print Layout packages are now included in the deployment strategy and will be copied to the chosen environments.
- A new API event, printing.print-prepared, allows workflows to modify a printing request before execution.
- The App Build Service version is now displayed in the Help panel for easier diagnostics and support.
Behavioral Changes and UX Improvements
- The App Designer now supports interactive drag-and-drop of components into and out of container components, enabling a faster and more intuitive layout editing experience.
- The "Creator" printing function field now autofills with the user's first and last name instead of the raw username.
- The "Title" printing function field is now initialized with the Studio Web app's name if no initial value has been configured.
- Studio Search suggestions with non-unique description values are no longer grouped together.
Security and Technology
- VertiGIS Studio Web has been updated to use version 4.33 of the ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript.
- The platform has been updated to integrate with VertiGIS Studio Workflow 5.46.
- The SDK's property watch system has been completely rewritten to replace deprecated Esri functionality. This provides a more stable and future-proof way for developers to observe property changes but introduces a breaking change for SDK users. More information can be found here:

This release includes numerous fixes that improve stability and performance across the platform. Key issues addressed include problems with the highlights.clear command in workflows, Search tool failures after using Geolocate, and several inconsistencies in Layer Preset behavior.
