Why are there map service query requests being made on page load?
When my viewer loads, there are map service query requests being made to get the record count of some layers, but not all of them. Anyone know why this is, why it's only some layers and how I can stop them from happening?

I guess this is because of the Accessibility features, getting the number of features in a layer.
Perhaps only for visible layers?

Thanks for your suggestion, Nico, I'll look into the accessibility features.
However, none of our layers are visible by default which rules out that possibility. We've look at lots of other settings but can't find any that differentiate these layers from other ones that don't trigger a query request.

I don't have an answer for what the queries are doing, but I have noticed that the same queries happen when opening the webmap in an Esri map viewer. So it does appear to be something happening on the Esri webmap side, as opposed to something being triggered by VertiGIS.

Thanks, Aled, that's interesting. That makes me think the behaviour we're seeing could be related to BUG-000170293 for ArcGIS Experience Builder as we're not on the “fixed” version of ArcGIS Enterprise (although it does seem to suggest that at v11.4 the problem is still present in all the other widgets except for search and analysis).
