Change webmap and get the same changes in webvier

Scenario that I wonder how the best practice for change in WebMap and how we can “update” the webViewer.

Steps:

Add one ore more layers in webmap and make these layers as a group layer.

In webviewer it will show up like this:

I want to change this in webmap and remove the group layer and replace the the group layer with a single layer.

Then I do this and open my webviewer the still refer to the “old” configuration for the webmap. 

Tried to do the refresh on Map but nothing happens.

Since we done lots of workflow mapping on layers we don’t want to remove the Map and add the map into the webviewer again. Then we lose all the configurations.

So is there a best practice to this things. Change and remove things in webmap, refresh the webmap in webviewer and keep the settings on layers that have.
