Chose identifiable layers in Web viewer
Non planifiéeThe Identify tool in GVH was awesome. You could set up buffering, decide if you wanted to add or subtract results, and most importantly you could select the IDENTIFABLE LAYERS. We need that in the new Web viewers! Now we can only chose if it's a layer is identifiable or not in the Designer but the user has no options on their end. It's very aggravating to use the Identify tool and get results for every single layer that happens to be checked on. Please, add more control options to Identify in VSW.

Jessica, we have an option “Verfijnen” (Dutch). Refine in English. There i can select “Alle bronnen” (All sources) or only 1 other source.
GVH let you choose from all map layers. This was very usefull.

Hi Aad. Thanks for pointing that out. It's good that that refine tool is there, but I would still like the ability to make this choice before making the selection, instead of after.

It's an extra click to have to refine the results afterward every single time. The user should be able to set what they're interested in once and be able to click around the map. A lot of the functions in VSW seem to require extra mouse clicks compared to GVH and the time adds up. My users have been commenting on this a lot.

You also have control in app configuration on which layers should be identifiable in the first place.
Not sure if we'll extend this beyond what is already available, but will re-visit in the future.
p.s. There is a buffer identify tool avaialble if you are looking for that specifically.

Users have no access to the app configuration. And one or the other user has different wishes, so the “old” method worked like a charme :-)

Users are frustrated when identify gives results for all layers. I can't tailor the application to all their very different needs, so the next best option is that they can have more control over it on their end. Please allow them to select which layers they want to identify on from the subset of layers that we do allow identification on.
