Possibility to add vertices at end when editing

For the editing of both features and sketching it would be a great enhancement if it was possible to add extra vertices at the end of etc. a line. to prolong it.

 As it is now you have to add an extra vertex between two existing and then drag them around. 

This is not a very good method and would potentially lead to mistakes in the editing of features

  there has been some discussion around this, I think we will get there eventually
