How to change the label for area measurements

When measuring an area, the result will show both the area and the perimeter of the polygon. Is there a way to hide the perimeter and show only the area?

 

Second, is it possible to change the number of decimals?

  I believe what you want to do here is disable the labeling for the measurement segments. I have not found any detail on how to do that.
  
  If anything, it might be in measurement.display-settings but I do not see config there that would accomplish this.
