Change behaviour of click on layer in layer list

Is it possible to change the behaviour of a click on a layer in the layer list?
By default a click on layer turns visibility of the layer on or off in VertiGIS Studio Web.
We want to have the possibility to expand / not expand by clicking on a group(layer), just like in Geocortex Essentials…
