drag and drop/visual item reordering in form
Non planifiéeMy customers are using a VertiGIS application with a workflow form to set the order of the stops they visit (~10-30 locations) over the course of a business day. This sort order is stored and updated in an integer attribute field in a feature class. Our default route sort order is set using google maps route optimization. However, sometimes customers need to visit a location out of sequence so they can arrive during a specific time window.
Currently there is no off-the-shelf method for the customer to manually change the route order attribute using the workflow. Options like allowing the user to select route stop number from a drop down list are unacceptable to the user because they do not have a visual component (ie, the list does not reorder itself/re-sort based on the new stop order assignment).
A drag-and-drop option would have full user acceptance for manual changes to a sequence of items, but a list re-ordering itself after changing the value would probably be close enough to the desired outcome.
Thanks!

That would be cool.
As a workaround, maybe you could use a Check Group, and an extra Button Bar with 'up' and 'down' buttons (and maybe also 'move to top' and 'move to bottom'). Those buttons would move the checked items up and down in the list. Slightly more cumbersome than drag and drop, but maybe just 'good enough'.
