Vertigis Studio web - unlinking - high memory

I have 3 layouts in my project and want to make a fourth. I based it on a clone of one of the other layouts, gave it a name, and saved it. I then want to unlink one of the components (i.e. text). Upon hitting the unlink button, it consumed tons of memory in the web browser (Edge and Chrome), and never recovered. Is this a bug or do I need to do something different?
