GeoCortex Essentials Leaving Black Markup Artifacts

Hi there,

One of our users is experiencing problems with our Geocortex Essentials map keeping black graphic artifacts when using the markup tools. This issue is only present on the Google Chrome browser.

When using the markup tool, there is a temporary black graphic of the markup element before the markup is "commited" as blue. Normally, this temporary black graphic is removed when the markup is placed, but for this user it stays visible, even between browser sessions.

I've had the user clear their browser cache and reset browser settings, and that did not appear to fix the issue - next will try reinstalling the Google Chrome application.

If anyone has experienced similar issues in the past and has a solution - please share! Thank you

  I believe this is bug 145668: Draw tools and Capture Geometry activity leave fragments of markup on the map.
  It is as far as I know not fixed, as it has been identified as an issue with the Esri API.

  In the past, I've seen this issue in Chrome 91 and Edge 101, so using a different browser could be a workaround.
