GeoCortex REST API Service Directory
Hi list: Following GC REST Elements Administrators' Guide, I was able to use the Site_Starter.xml and create an API site in a new sub directory under C:\Program Files\Latitude Geographics\Geocortex Essentials\Sites\. I connected to an ArcGIS rest service on my desktop development machine with IIS enabled. I can view the new site from GE REST Site Directory page. However, I am also trying to make Charlotte, CharlotteMercator, and CharlotteWGS sites that came with install live from the directory page too. I used the new site.xml file and tried connecting to a layer on GC sampleserver 1 without success. What was the problem? Was it token related? Please advise. Thanks! Jessica

Hi Jessica,
The services we've published at http://sampleserver1.geocortex.com/ArcGIS/rest/services are public and do not require token authentication, so tokens will not be the problem.
Have you tried ensuring that the server on which your REST API is deployed is able to connect to the following URL (via a web browser)?: http://sampleserver1.geocortex.com/ArcGIS/rest/services/Charlotte/MapServer Drew.0
