Error when printing larger than tabloid

I was asked to look into the feasibility of generating large scale plots (> tabloid) through Essentials. I tried to create c, D and E size plots using the Report Designer but every layout I have tried results in the error: Erroroccured during REST request: Margins are too large.\n at DataDynamics.ActiveReports.ActiveReport3.#1yb(Boolean bDelayedInit) I have gone to the settings (right click on Settings, click on Show, click on Printer Settings) to set the paper size to C size sheet as well as trying different margins (Settings, Show, Page Setup) from 0 to the default of 1 inch. Is anyone else able to successfully generate large scale plots? Am I missing something? Thanks, Peter.

  Hi Peter,   When creating large templates, there are a few considerations to make:   1) The "PrintWidth" of the report must be within the paper width minus the margins

   

  2) The height of the "detail" section must be within the paper height minus the margins.

   

  3) When setting the paper size (in Settings -> show) use "Custom Paper", not "Printer Default".

   

  Also, note that you should reduce the DPI when printing larger templates - otherwise the Essentials threads will run out of memory when collecting the images to assemble the PDF.   Regards, -Malcolm
