Extend Fields Enhancement
It would be nice to have the option to extend a layers fields to other websites, similar to extending the whole site, but giving us an option to only extend specific elements properties, or perhaps have the ability to create a separate file as a text file that can be imported to create the fields. Extending the site is nice, but sometimes, I don't want to extend the complete site, only a portion of it.

Give us a similar experience with showing fields, like we can when using the query builder where you give us different ways to show fields, where we can use the different configs within Query Builder to hide some fields and show others, but have this capability on the Layer Resource Manager. 0 -
Hi There, This sounds like an enhancement request to Geocortex Essentials Web ADF Elements. For future reference, there is a seperate forum for questions/comments on Geocortex Essentials Web ADF Elements where you can make suggestions or ask questions.
The site extension model in Geocortex Essentials Web ADF Elements does allow you to only extend specific components of a parent site. When you create a child site (extend another site), you automatically inherit all of the configuration of the parent site. If all that you are interested in changing is the fields belonging to a layer, you can do so in the child site without having to copy the rest of the configuration belonging to the parent site. This also seems like a suggestion which applies to Web ADF Elements. In fact, you can hide fields using the configuration within the Layer Resource Manager. Each "Field" element belonging to a Layer has an attributed named "Visible". By default, the Visible attribute is set to true, but if you set it to false then it will not show up in reports or other interface components. Drew 0
