Public facing front end for Geocortex sites
I am working for a County and we are about to deploy many different sites in the next month or two. Some of the sites will be open to all users (public) but some will be restricted to authorized users. What I am hoping to do is have a front page that welcomes users to the interface and they log in there with a user name and password that I assign. Based on their log in, they can then see what sites (applications) they have rights to. If they do not have rights, they will not even see what sites (applications) there are. Is this something that any of you have been able to do with Geocortex and the security within Geocortex, or have you had to build something yourself, and then just utilize the Geocortex security for the sites? Thanks.

Essentials comes with an out of the box XML security that is fairly simple to set up. Take a look at our video on site security: (http://web1.latitudegeo.com/videos/Sales Training FLV/HTML files/June 08/11 - Security.html) http://web1.latitudegeo.com/videos/Sales%20Training%20FLV/HTML%20files/June%2008/11%20-%20Security.html Also, refer to the Web ADF Admin Guide's section on security for more information. 0 -

Hi Frederic,
Sorry about the broken link, our Support Center changed a few years ago making the link invalid. Please try searching on the word 'security' and looking in the Videos section, you will find relevant videos like -
