Unified viewer config for HTML viewer

The configuration for HTML viewers now has three files: Desktop, Tablet and Handheld. So to maken manual changes, you need to edit all three of them. Since these files are usually ~90% similar, I think it would make sense to have a single configuration file, and have some sort of override mechanism for device dependent settings.

 

And another thing: Could this file be stored as XML? When doing manual edits, it's too easy to miss a bracket. If JSON is required for the HTML viewer, the XML could maybe be converted to JSON once at runtime. Or even be split into device specific files.

  Unfortunately no replies (yet).
  
  If the XML option cannot be implemented, can we at least have the three config files with a .json extension instead of .json.js? Editors such as Code and Visual Studio play much more nicely with those.
