The Instant Search feature is not currently enabled.

Symptom:

When you browse to the Instant Search tab of your map service in Essentials Manger you see the following message:

“The Instant Search feature is not currently enabled.”

Cause:

This issue might occur when the version of Geocortex Application Services 2 is a version older than v2.1 OR the Geocortex Application Services 2 service is not running on your Essentials server.

Resolutions:

Method 1: Upgrade to GAS v2.1.0

Method 2: Upgrade to the latest version of Essentials v4.1.3 which contains GAS2 v2.1.0

Method 3: Ensure Geocortex Application Services 2 service is running.

If you are running GAS2 v.2.1.0 and the Instant Search tab displays “The Instant Search feature is not currently enabled.” Then ensure the GAS2 service is running in windows. 

1. Run “services.msc” from the Run dialogue box
2. Search for Geocortex Applcaiton Services 2
3. Click either “Start”

Note: If the service is already running when you see the Instant Search message, try restarting the service.
