Editing polygon feature disappears until saved

I have this issue with the 4.3 official release, but didn't have it with the beta. I zoom in to a polygon feature, go to edit and the object disappears from the map window. It won't reappear until I save the geometry. But then after the first attempt, the object appears just fine in the map window for subsequent edits.

Also have the same issue when I go to edit the objects' geometry. It vanishes until saved or cancel. This happens all the time.

Any advice?
