Re-configure "Add Map Layer" window catalog

Hi - I am wondering if anyone can direct me on how to setup our Geocortex page so that the catalog window that displays available services is organized into categories?

This is what it currently looks like:

/customer/servlet/servlet.FileDownload?file=00P6000000elTOyEAM

And this is more what we want it to look like:

/customer/servlet/servlet.FileDownload?file=00P6000000elTP3EAM

I vaguely remember reading somewhere that you could create a "fake" service that is grouped/ordered the way you want it, but I'm not sure if that will work. Any help would be great!
