Viewer.Defaults.xml configuration resets

I am attempting to force attachments in Silverlight to be opened in the browser by default as opposed to the save as dialog. By changing the property "SaveTokenSecuredAttachments" to false in the Viewer.Defaults.xml I can accomplish this behavior. However the problem is that this value seems to be reset to true about every 24 hours. Any idea why this would be happening?
