Map disappears when editing a feature GVH 2.5, GE 4.4

I created a site to allow our water system operators to add maintenance information for hydrants and valves. I zoom to a neighborhood and identify a hyrdrant feature. Everything looks fine, the attribute appear in the results panel.  As soon as I select edit feature, the map disappears. The attributes can be updated and saved but the map is no longer visible. When I click on a bookmark or the intial extent tool, the map appears again but obviously not at the same extent.  Any thoughts?
