Hide the Attributes tab when you have no fields to display there

Is there a way to have the attribute tab not display when you select a feature if you have no fields to display for that layer? I want to display the info in the Details tab and I configured the Feature Long Description to do this. It still shows the Attributes tab though even though I didn't select any fields to display there.
