Issue with ESRI proxy

I am using ESRI proxy from this link:

When I set the proxy in add connection, I get "connection failed" error. 

 

The reason for using proxy is, I want to access secure WMTS web wervice and want to configre credentials within proxy, so that users of my site do not have to enter them. 

 

Please let me know if any one is has successfuly implemented ESRI's proxy page, or if any one has been able to configure secure WMTS map service.

  Muhammad,

   

  We are using the ESRI proxy successfully with both AD and token based ArcGIS Server services but haven't tried a WMTS service.  Are you able to connect to an AGS (or other) map service successfully using the proxy?  Have you tried using Fiddler (or logging in the proxy.ashx) to see what is being sent/received?

   

  Is the WMTS running on your own server or 3rd party?  If it's on your own server, can you enable logging to see what requests are being sent?
