My Active Visitors chart on the Summary tab often stops working

My Active Visitors chart on the Summary tab often stops working. I'm still getting info on Geocortex Essentials, but not on Geocortex Applications. Does anyone know which collector this is tied to? Analytics 1.2 collectors seem to mysteriously stop collecting data without much of a warning. I don't really want to restart Core evertime a collector stops working.

    Hi Michael,

     

    I'm not sure if there are any other collectors involved, but the Client Relay is for sure one of the collectors involved in populating that chart.  If it's consistently failing, you can check the log file for that collector to see what's going on.  By default, it's here:

     

    C:\Program Files\Latitude Geographics\Geocortex Core\Data\Logs\Analytics.ClientRelay.log

     

    You can also check the client relay URL when you notice this is happening, to see the response you get.  the URL will be something like:

     

    http:\\servername\Geocortex\Analytics\clientrelay

     

    It's the same URL that you've configured in the Analytics Integration section of your viewers (in manager).

    Just to add on to that previous reply, I just confirmed with one of the developers that the only collector involved in that graph is the client relay.

    It looks like my client relay url is not working. I made a small edit to the Client Relay role.config and then saved it back to restart the process. The client relay url and the Activie Visitors chart appear to be working again. Thanks for pointing me to the right collector.

    That's great Michael!  If you find that this is an ongoing issue, please open a support case so we can help you investigate.  Needing to restart the client relay in order to get it working is definitely not what I would consider normal behaviour.

    My client relay collector now appears to be failing almost daily. I am over budget on my line item to pay for support hours, so I'm hoping someone here has some ideas.
