Use Global Unique ID instead of Display Name for Viewer?
I tend to start new sites by copying an existing site. This means that I have duplicate Viewer Display Names. This makes it confusing in Analytics (see below). Is it possible to change the Display Name after copying the site? Or possible to use Global Unique ID instead?

Hi Mike,
You can change the display name for your viewers in Manager after copying your sites. The display name is what shows up in reports. I don't think it's currently possible to use the global unique ID yet, but if you'd like to see that added, please suggest it on the ideas section!

I hope this help!

Thanks Danny. I did change one display name last week, and it was not until this morning that I saw it reflected in Analytics... I put this post in after I did that, and nothing seemed to change in Analytics. Any idea why the delay? 0 -
Hey Mike,
Excellent, glad that worked! The collector that picks up new sites/viewers/changes to site and viewer names (the Essentials info collector) only runs once per day to save resources on the hub server.
You can manually run it by editing the role.config file on the Essentials server (located here by default: C:\Program Files\Latitude Geographics\Geocortex Core\NSRoot\Geocortex\Analytics\Collectors\EssentialsInfo\1.2.0\role.config) and adding a space to the end of the file to restart the role.
Thanks!
