trouble adding an arcgis server to analytics
I've been able to add arcgis servers that have web adaptors associated with them, but I'm having trouble adding an internal arcgis server. I'm using "http serverName:6080/arcgis/rest/services" as the Services URL and no authentication. I'm getting the following error message:
"An error occurred while saving this ArcGIS Server's setup information. This ArcGIS Server's setup information was not saved."
I've tried other variation of the server name like "serverName.domain.org:6080", but to no avail. Both URLs can reach the rest end page in a browser. Is there something simple I'm missing?
Thanks,
Frank

Hi Frank,
There's a known issue when it comes to adding a non domain ArcGIS server. If you don't fully qualify the server name, it will fail (GID-1972). It sounds like that is only part of the issue.
Can you please take a fiddler capture of what happens after you click the save button (with the FQDN in the server URL field) and check the JSON response for an error message? Alternatively, you can send it to me (dbriggs@latitudegeo.com), and I'm happy to take a quick look.
Thanks!

Hi Daniel,
Thanks for suggestions. Because the ArcGIS server is behind the firewall and isn't accessible thru a web adaptor, we had to open port between our Analytics server (DMZ) and this ArcGIS server.
Thanks again for your reply!
