reset analytics logs
Analytics stopped working again over the weekend and when I tried to review the logs to see if I could find out why, I found that two of the logs in ../Geocortex Core/Data/Logs - Analytics.ArcGisLog.log and BootSTrapper.console - were well over 1GB in size each. Much too large to open and sort through.
I restarted Geocortex Core which got Analytics working again but the log files did not reset - they are still 1GB+. Is there any way short of manually going in and deleting these files, to have them recycle on a regular basis or after reaching a maximum file size? Left unchecked, these files could get quite huge.
Peter.

Hi Peter,
We have an improvement already filed for this (CORE-2559) and you've been added as a stakeholder. In the mean time you can stop Core and delete/rename any log files that gets too large.0 -
Hello,
Any updates on CORE-2559. I want to move the Data logs from C drive to other drive as the logs are cosuming lot of space in C drive. Please suggest how can i achieve this.0 -
Hi Ahad,
CORE-2559 is still open and unresolved.
The Core Data folder location is stored in this config file C:\Program Files\Latitude Geographics\Geocortex Core\Bin\Geocortex.Platform.Host.exe.config but I would recommend not changing it without having a support person on the line and available if something goes wrong. If Core stops working, your system will not work and will be unavailable. In order to update the file Core will need to be stopped and then restarted.

Hi Wayne, any headway on this one? We've been running into issues of space due to large log folders, but would rather keep the logs in storage for some time. 0 -
Hi Shawn,
No progress on the bug, it has a low priority and may not ever be addressed. I would look into why the log file is getting so large and try to minimize it.

+1 - we have an Analytics install with a BootStrapper.console file that's got to 51GB...on a 100GB partition with other logs it's full and caused Analytics to fall over. 0
