Error connecting to ArcGIS Online for Identity Setup
Has anyone run into a problem when running the ArcGIS Identity Setup utility whereby after you enter your username/password for ArcGIS Online, you get an error message under the green Authenticate button that says "Unable to connect to https://xxxx.maps.arcgis.com. Please ensure the URL is correct"? Where xxxx represents our organizations name.
In the subdomain box I'm not entering the protocol, so I assume it's just automatically picking https. The URL in the message is correct. There is nothing in any of the pdf guides that mentions anything about this error and I can't find anything on the support forums either.

Hi Peter & Craig
This smells like a TLS 1.2 issue. As Esri now requires TLS 1.2 to connect to all ArcGIS Online resources (including Identity stuff), you'll need to add the two SchUseStrongCrypto registry keys to get that going: https://communities.geocortex.com/s/article/Connecting-to-external-services-with-TLS-1-2
If you run into any problems, please feel free to open a support ticket by emailing us at support@geocortex.com0
