Is there a way to limit by user who can add attachments? After fixing the error below I realized all users, including anonymous users can add attachments.

 

Was getting the error File Attachment failed. Forbidden. 

 

Modified the proxy.config file to resolve the error.

 

Added this in the ServerUrls section:

 

<serverUrl url="Copy and paste your Rest endpoint url here in double quotes "

 

             matchAll="true" </serverUrl>

 

Our rest endpoint is https and this worked.

 

** Note: Go to Geocortex essentials => Map => Map Services Tab and edit your map service that was published as a FEATURE service (not the layer). Click the icon to open the site's Rest Endpoint and copy the url in the browser address bar.

  Using Geocortex essentials Manager disallow the Map Feature set but allow it in the layer list. The AddAttachment menu item goes away for the anonymous user.

  Thanks Scott, we had the same error and fixed by adding our REST endpoint to proxy.config
