Monitoring multi node ArcGIS Server Cluster in Analytics

When setting up monitoring for a multi node ArcGIS Server cluster in Analytics do you setup each individual node or point at the Web Adaptor?

 

If using Agent would you then instal Agent on each node of the ArcGIS Server cluster or each node of the web farm hosting the Web Adaptor or all of them?

  Hi Kevin,

   

  There are several way to do this depending on the results you want in the report. 

   

  For remote monitoring I would recommend you set them up individually using the server hostname and then configure the url substitution page. For the web server logs you'll need to specify the IIS log directory for the server where the web adaptor is installed. This way you'll have the 3 servers in the cluster show up individually in the report.

   

  The Agent option is only suitable when the web adaptor is on the same server as the ArcGIS server. That being sad you can still install the agent on each node of the ArcGIS Server cluster and then edit configuration after to point at the correct IIS logs.
