Geocortex Analytics 1.4 will introduce a change to clustering configuration in some environments
Geocortex Analytics 1.4 is slated for release later this year, and will feature a more streamlined and efficient agent that monitors Geocortex Essentials instances without having to be clustered with them. To simplify existing installations, and reduce resource consumption on monitored servers, Geocortex Analytics 1.4 will not support configurations where it is in a multi-server cluster with Geocortex Essentials.
For existing Geocortex Analytics users: if you have only one server for your Geocortex products, no additional steps are required to upgrade to Analytics 1.4. If your current Geocortex Analytics installation is clustered with Geocortex Essentials on other servers, Geocortex Analytics will need to be removed from that cluster. You will be able to accomplish this with a utility we will provide.
If you have questions about your upgrade path, or if you would like assistance with your Geocortex Analytics 1.4 upgrade (when it becomes available), please contact our (To: support@geocortex.com) Technical Support team.

Hello Jordan, I do not understand this message in combination with the documentation on Geocortex core and Clustering. At this page: https://docs.geocortex.com/essentials/latest/install-help/Default.htm#ge/install/geocortex-core-and-clustering.htm#Geocortex_Core_and_Clustering%3FTocPath%3DDeployment%7CGeocortex%2520Core%2520and%2520Clustering%7C_____0 the recomendation is to cluster Geocortex Essentials and Geocortex Analytics with a multiserver deployment. Also is stated that a Analytics server can function as a third server with two Essentials servers. In combination with the above message I do not understand what the recommendation is, and what the options are. In your message is stated that it is not an option to cluster Analytics 1.4. This does not seem to match with each other. What is your view on this?
Kind regards,

Hi Annet,
Thank you for letting us know about this discrepancy! The Analytics documentation takes precedence and we will be updating the Essentials documentation to change the messaging around this. We do not recommend using Analytics as a third server in an Essentials cluster.
Cheers,
