Is it possible to load a ESRI widget within a Geocortex Essentials viewer
I just started working with GW5 and have successfully added a workflow into Web App Builder solution.
I'm now wondering if one can do the reverse; namely, can one load a ESRI widget (i.e. Swipe tool) into a Geocortex Essentials viewer?

Hello Mike,
We currently have documentation for achieving this in GVS: https://support.geocortex.com/essentialsGSCCodeGallery?sub-nav=codegall&main-nav=essentials&#!/feedtype=SINGLE_ARTICLE_DETAIL&criteria=BESTANSWERS&id=kA4600000004EUxCAM
We do not currently have a GVH equivalent article. Please post GVH questions to the Support Forums: https://support.geocortex.com/apex/GSCIdeas?c=09a6000000008RsAAI&filter=1&categ=all?-nav=ideas&main-nav=essentials&page=1
Thanks, Stefan

Is this possible for GVH as well?

Hi Rob,
No, this is currently not supported as mentioned above.
Thanks, Stefan

Oh sorry - That part was hidden under the "show more". Thanks.

Hi Rob,
I've been told previously that loading an Esri widget in GVH is possible, but requires some custom work-
"In general, you’ll want to create a module that has a view where you can host the widget. Then you can instantiate the widget in that view and hopefully it will just work. Depending on the widget though you might need to apply some tweaks or create some infrastructure to feed it data."
Our implementation services team is normally able to help with this sort of request if it's something you'd like help setting up.

Hello all! As Stefan mentioned, using WAB widgets within GVH is not possible. What would be possible (with some custom work as Amanda mentions) is to use a dijit widget from the JS API 3.x within GVH. I hope this helps clarify!
