No url box in info section of workflow designer. The instructions say: "In Geocortex Workflow Designer, open the workflow, click Info in the sidebar, and copy the URL from the URL box."

The URL box only shows up for workflows that have been saved to ArcGIS Online or Portal.

Got it, thanks so much for the quick answer. And when I insert the url that is generated into my Geocortex HTML5 viewer, it doesn't require the workflow to have been shared or anything right? Ie. anonymous users accessing the viewer can use the tool?

To allow anonymous end users to run the workflow you will need to share the workflow item with "Everyone" in ArcGIS Online.
The default permissions when you save a new workflow is that only you (the author) can access it.

Ok thanks. So does that mean that everyone can download the workflow? We wouldn't want to give away the workflow itself, just allow anyone to run it. Thanks again!

Everyone can download it. Since workflows run in the web browser they need to be downloadable by the end users. If the end users of your application are anonymous then there can't be any security protecting the workflows.
