GetMapServiceInfo with Layer Id instead of Name

I have an essentials map service with some identical layer names in it (I know, I know).  Can I use the service ID with a layer ID to get a layer source property from a dynamic layer?  I've tried using the GetLayerProperty activity with no luck and I don't see how to get at a layer source without either having the layer name or a custom property on the layer (with the GetLayerInfoByProperty activity).

  For any future curious about what we ended up doing, we added properties to the layers of interest and hooked in the GetLayerInfoByProperty.
