Number of sessions for a website not shown

Hello,

 

I am not able to see the number of sessions when I add a 'Website' inside Analytics.

 

Other types of infra. such as web apps have number of sessions.

 

Is this normal?

  Hi Soham,

   

  Analytics Website monitoring is not able to track number of sessions, configuring Analytics to monitor a Website simply checks that the website is active and accessible. Without any Analytics code in the website, there is no way for Analytics to know about sessions. 

   

  To track sessions, you would need to treat your Website as a Web Application and follow the procedure to configure a Custom Web Application:
