How do I restrict access to configuring Analytics for people with access to the Analytics reports?
I'm configuring our Analytics and I have a series of departmental administrators that would like access to the Analytics Reports and the ability to create dashboards for their own departmental resources (apps and servers). I have granted them access to view the Analytics reports, however, they also appear to be able to make configuration changes as well. Is there a way to restrict capabilities access to Analytics reports to specific users for viewing reports and creating dashboards, but prevent them from changing the configuration? Otherwise it would expose a risk if other viewers can make changes to our configuration.
Thank you!
Niki

I don't think analytics has this ability yet. This was one of the major reasons we decided to stay with Optimizer until Analytics gets this, and other, critical capabilities. 0 -
Thanks Peter! Do you know if this has been added as an enhancement request/suggestion yet? 0 -
I talked directly to Steve Myhill-Jones and Drew Millen at this year's Ontario User Group conference about why we needed those features and I have provided a similar list of enhancements/requirements to our account manager. However, I'm not sure that any are on a short list of features to be added in the near future. I have not added them to the 'ideas' forum - I guess I should. 0 -
Hi Nicole, Peter,
Analytics currently does not have the ability to restrict authorized users to read-only. Considering the possibility, I do think it would be a good candidate for the Ideas section. If you submit it there, it will be considered as a potential improvement and other users can "upvote" it. The more support it gets, the more likely it is to be included in future versions.
Thanks,
