Coded Domain + Def Query = Editing Feature Error

Stats: ArcMap 10.5; ArcServer 10.6.1; GE 4.10.1; HTML5 2.11.1

 

So I just troubleshot this for 2 hours and I am seeing some odd things. Anyone else confirm this "bug"

1. Action = Applied Def Query to Layer based on Domain Values in MXD/Service / Issue: When using "Edit Feature" for that domain attribute in Geocortex the choices only appear for what is in the "Symbology" of the Domain Field, not the full list of coded values. This issue does not appear if a Def Query is not on the layer in the MXD.
2. Action = Edit Feature via Domain Attribute / Issue: Shows "Coded Value" not "Description"

Given Geocortex is focused on end users I imagine these "Issues" are not part of the UX/UI goals.

 

Overall I have a layer symbolozed by "Domain" so select users can edit the Status. once the Status enters "Approved" it disappears from the layer (hence the Def Query).

 

To address these 2 issues I have to do the below which is no fun : (

1. Add a new field with Description Being the Code to make it friendly to the end user
2. Falsely add and make empty symbology on the "Status/Code" the user needs to move it to so it's removed from the map.
