Geocortex Analytics 1.4.3 fails to return any information in the trend tab;
Hi All,

Despite the fact that the Geocortex analytics integration is enabled for viewer V1 and the active visitor chart returns number of sessions normally on GA summary tab, GA 1.4.3 fails to return any information for this application land return that this application is down.
Kindly note that the GE server (Agent) is physical server and the analytics server (Hub) is virtual machine.
Used versions: GE 4.10/ GVH 2.11/ GA 1.4.3
What might be the issue here?

Best,
Lubna

Hi All
After digging deeper on the behavior of GA 1.4.3, it seems that GA fails to read viewers with a local domain name and only read the real domain “geomolg.ps” despite the fact that the active visitors chart in GA reads sessions from both links normally but the trend tab fails to do this.
What might be the issue here?

Hi Lubna,
It sounds like you might need to configure URL substitution for the resource in question (V1). Please refer to this page in our Documentation Center:
https://docs.geocortex.com/analytics/latest/admin-help/Default.htm#an/admin/essentials-settings.htm#Substitute_a_URL_to_an_Essentials_Instance%3FTocPath%3DConfigure%2520Analytics%7CEssentials%2520Configuration%7CSpecific%2520Essentials%2520Instance%2520Settings%7C_____2Also, please ensure you've completed all steps required for collecting session data from Viewers:
Often, users miss the last step, adding the client relay URL to HTML5 Viewers:
If you're still having issues, please submit a support case to your local partner/reseller so they can look into it further.

Hi Aaron,
I already did all configuration; my issue was in the link of the viewer itself which was added with local domain name instead of the real domain name and it solved by deleting and re-adding the viewer in post installation with the real domain

Hi Lubna,
I'm glad to hear you found a solution. If, in the future, you do want to use multiple URLs for any Viewer, you can do so with the URL substitution feature (linked above).
Thanks,
