changing servers

We have new production GCE servers online. We have installed the Agent and it has been running for several weeks and collecting data. The old servers are offline we want to delete the old servers from Analytics. Will deleting the old servers from Analytics effect the historical data already collected?

  Hi Dan,

   

  What version of Analytics are you using?  If the old servers are clustered and online still, there is a chance the data will be shared amongst the cluster.  If they are off-air, the data would have been moved to an available node in the cluster.

  Wayne, Thanks for the info and we are on version 1.4.0.

  No problem.  So with 1.4 your Analytics server will no longer be clustered with your Essentials server(s) and the data should not be shared anywhere but the Analytics server.  You should be fine.  The data is not normally shared unless the disk space gets low.
