Geocortex Printing 5 Beta Program
Welcome to the Geocortex Printing 5 Beta program.
Printing has been one of the key capabilities of Geocortex Essentials since its earliest versions. Geocortex Printing 5 is a re-imagination of the same great functionality with some exciting big differences:
- A new web-based design experience to make print template authoring accessible to more users.
- Built on new technology to support the latest ArcGIS capabilities like vector tile layers and 3D web scenes.
- Smart legend filtering to only legend swatches that actually appear on the map.
- Seamless integration into Geocortex Essentials to allow you to use Printing 5 templates alongside your existing version 4 templates.
- Print from Web AppBuilder applications using a Printing widget (an Enterprise or Web AppBuilder edition license is required for this feature).
- Delivered as both Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and on-premises versions to suit any deployment.
Beta participants have the option to use a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) or on-premises version of the product for the duration of the beta. After the beta period closes, Geocortex Essentials licensees will receive an entitlement to the version of the product corresponding to their license level. Note to perpetual licensees: Access to the SaaS version is only available for you during the beta period. If you are interested in the SaaS version, please contact your Geocortex Account Manager to move to a subscription license.
To access the SaaS version of the Geocortex Printing 5 beta, go to https://apps.geocortex.com/printing and sign in with your ArcGIS identity.
To download the on-premises version, please visit this page https://communities.geocortex.com/s/downloads. As with all Beta versions of Geocortex software; there is no upgrade path from Beta to Release so be sure to install it in an appropriately ‘disposable’ location.
To use Printing 5 with Geocortex Essentials and the Geocortex Viewer for HTML5 you will need to get the latest versions of those products (Geocortex Essentials 4.11 and Geocortex Viewer for HTML5 2.12). You can download them here https://support.geocortex.com/downloads.
Help documentation is available directly from the web-based designer and on the Geocortex Documentation Center at https://docs.geocortex.com/printing.
Thank you for taking the time to check out the Beta version of Geocortex Printing. Your questions, comments, ideas, and feedback are welcome, and our team will be actively watching and interacting with you here in the Community.
We look forward to hearing from you.
