It would be useful to have a similar activity to that available in WF4 called ShapefileToFeatureSet, that converts the byte array components of a shapefile (dbf, prj, shp) into a featureset.

On a related note it would be good if there was a mechanism to get at the data from the client. Currently it seems that the JavaScript File object captured by the File Picker on the client side cannot be passed across successfully to a server side activity (as the ShapefileToFeatureSet activity would likely be).

  Anthony, we have a free Geocortex Workflow Conversion Activity Pack that converts Shapefile, GeoJSON, KML/KMZ, GPX, text-delimited, and spreadsheets to an from Esri FeatureSet. This works both for SaaS and On-Premise version of Geocortex Workflow.
