Add Component to a existing Layout
How do you add a new component to an existing Layout?
For example I have created a App based on the default 3D Scene Viewer Template. Now I want to add a second Map component to my App so that I can reference a different Web Map for the same view extents. I have tried using the Import Configuration menu from the Component Configuration but that seems to only let me OVERWITE and existing component in the template.
How do I add a new component into my current template when it doesn't already exist there? Also how do I delete a component from the template that I don't want?

Hi Owen,
We are currently working on the ability to easily edit existing layouts through the Designer application and is currently scheduled for the next release.
Currently, you'll need to download the application through the Deploy section, three-dot menu's 'Download as Zip File', and made edits to the app and layout files, then upload the changed files. This is not currently recommended as it requires advanced knowledge of the components and their properties.
Thanks, Stefan

Thanks Stefan,
I thought that might be the case, but i wanted to check I hadn't missed something obvious.
I like the new designer but until it has the ability to add/remove components easily it is a bit limited in what you can do with it.
Will be looking forward to the next release.
Regards
Owen

@Owen Parfrey? It was a tough decision to release Geocortex Web without layout editing ... we recognize it is crucial in the long run. In hindsight, I'm glad we got the first versions out and being used, to have continued in development for another year without feedback from our community would not have been as helpful as the ongoing dialog. I've sent you a copy of an early layout editing document, with 30-60 minutes of effort you can get the flow of making modifications to a layout and then importing them to see the results. Keep in mind that you can add components to the layout without any additional configuration and Geocortex Web will use the factory defaults, it is pretty quick to begin adding new elements.
